My belly button has been pierced for 6 months, after 2 months I changed it, no problem. Now, I've done what they said and cut down on the cleaning to about once a day. It went red and crusty and I thought nothing of it, it didn't hurt, it doesn't hurt now either but it's my skin around it's gone yellow/purple. There's a very thin piece of skin over the top and everytime I put a bar in I pierce that skin, I did the same today and under the skin some yellow/green goo came out and then it wouldn't stop bleeding. Around the bottom is all scabbed, it doesn't hurt and I've took out the bar but my sister said that there is defenantly something wrong. I've cleaned it with salt and water and squeezed it hard but nothing's coming out, what should I do?
Go see a doctor. The greenish/yellow fluid is a sign of infection. Put the bar back in and don't mess with it. If you leave the bar out and it is an infection, it can cause an abscess. Don't worry though. If it really is an infection the doctor can give you antibiotics which will really help. Just keep cleaning it with sea salt and go see a doctor.
