This is a saying in relationship to scriptures in The Bible. It's basically saying that the reason Christians don't have the things they desire (financially, spiritually, mentally, physically, etc.) is because they are not asking God in prayer for it. They simply hope, but aren't asking.
Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
what they mean when they say "you have not because you ask not" is that you don't have somthing because you did not ask for that thing...if you ask then you shall recieve...ex: you ask someone to grab you somthing you need from the store, they give it to you. you have asked therefore you recieve, if you don't ask you won't recieve...
Simple........ We ask, to KNOW... We ask to know because we do
No, because this is WikiAnswers, not Ask.
because it is asking you to ask it a question, so that's why you should ask!
you ask god for prayer maybe because you need it and he can help you.. You ask god because he loves you and will always be there for you
because you man where ducking
Because they think it is a riddle.
Noo He wont because He will ask me out
because i love you why do you ask me that
they ask that because their clueless
because he was going to ask her a question because he was going to ask her a question
never, the boy has to ask you out first!
Because then there wouldn't be anyone to ask or answer questions.
