Queen Elizabeth II (of the UK) is celebrating her diamond Jubilee representing 60 years as queen.
Although Queen Elizabeth II wasn't formally crowned until June 2, 1953, she immediately became Britain's monarch upon the death of her father, King George VI, on February 6, 1952.
It was a commemorative medal celebrating the 60'th year of British Queen Victoria's reign, issued in 1897.
