zoonoses are a group of diseases that are naturally transmitted from animals to man. They are over 200 in number and the list is increasing. MAD DOG DISEASE CALLED RABIES, PIG BORN BRAIN FEVER, GOAT BORN BRUCELLOSIS, SHEEP BORN Q FEVER, BIRD FLU. Swine Flu, PLAGUE ARE FEW EXAMPLES. There is very little awareness among doctors and public about these diseases . These diseases have to be controlled in the veterinary profession and treated in medical profession.
