what slide button? theres no slide button on mines
There is no slide release button on lc9. After the last round the slide locks back, to get the slide forward you have to pull back on it and release. The lc9 is not like many semi autos where the slide can be closed with a button. You have to manually pull the slide back.
The Send to Back button.

Make sure the gun is completely unloaded and pull the trigger, sending the firing pin into the forward position. Take a small screw driver (Or something softer if you are worried about the finish) and push in the catch button on the back of the slide. the Catch button is the round spring loaded piece in the back of the slide that the firing pin indicator sticks out of. Push it all the way forwards and pull the slide back about 1/8th of an inch. The back of the slide should pop up. Be careful not to let the spring launch the catch out of the back of the slide. Assembly is reverse of take down.
