I'm thinking about what the place looked like architecturally, what kind of stores were predominant, which bars were frequented and by whom, what the neighborhood felt and looked like as a whole. I'm particularly interested to know how it felt to be a teenager in the school system at this time and whether desegregation had made a difference to how people of different racial backgrounds interacted.
