I don' t think an employer will specifically seek out a candidate with a certificate in Business studies, but, its a good way to let an employer know your area of interest and expertise. You will be higher qualified in that subject than someone who doesn't have one, and could mean you get recognized sooner for job promotion or a new role.

The certificate is just taster to get you ready for your diploma and then degree.
