Women often were teachers, nurses, servants, weavers, factory workers, seamstresses or worked on the land.
Slowly but surely they started studying at universities and the amount of female doctors, scientists etc increased. There were even some female explorers.
Some jobs choices for woman included painting cans, sectary, sewing, editors, and being maids.
Some jobs for men were lawyers, business workers, business owners, writers, engineers (for Henry Ford) etc.
For immigrants or other races- it was a hard time, many unskilled workers worked in the meat packing industry, mining, railroad/ steel industry for little pay or money.
Hope this helps! Peace out!
