Either 10 K or 14 K Larger numbers have more Gold content making the jewelery, rings etc softer. Thats why most mens rings are 10K be cause the mens rings get rougher use.
Pure gold is 24 karat, so what you reference is half pure gold and half some other metal. "Good" in any context is relative.

2 ounces of 10 karat gold will be $856. 17. This price is only good for right now as the price of gold goes up and down daily.
24 karat gold - 100% Au - pure gold, very soft and very easily bent, too soft for jewelry. Therefore the gold is alloyed with silver, copper, nickel or zinc:22 karat gold - 91.7% Au - still too soft for most jewelry18 karat gold - 75.0% Au - for fine jewelry, the best for beauty and durability14 karat gold - 58.3% Au - OK for jewelry but the gold is of a duller colour12 karat gold - 50.0% Au - not OK for most western jewelry10 karat gold - 41.7% Au - legal limit for 'real' gold in USAWHITE GOLD is NOT PLATINUM but is a good cheaper substitute = gold+nickel+copper+zinc.
$200 in todays market which is good for 10k gold
I'm assuming you mean 9 Karat gold. No, it is not good gold. As a matter of fact, in most countries anything below 10K is not even legally considered gold for jewelry purposes.
Yes, it's the highest amount of gold content-or as good as it gets.
A karat signifies how pure gold is and the higher the more gold there is. Pure gold, which is 100%, is too soft to use so it often has other metals mixed in to make more durable. 22k gold has 91.6% good and 24k gold is pure but too soft to use, so it is mixed with other metals to strengthen it.
The 24 karat gold plated it is scams, the same lake soft yellow gold metal with Rhodium plated it's real scams!
