The accent mark is on a key that is found below the Esc key. While in an Excel spreadsheet, to display the formula you desire, hold down the key on the bottom left of the keyboard, marked "Ctrl" and then press the accent mark at the same time.
On the iMac wireless keyboard it is the second key from the left, on the very top of the keyboard. You can also open System Preferences and then click Display. There on the Display tab you will see a brightness control slider.
