There are two answers to that. You can use the Shift key to select a group of contiguous slides, in other words slides that are together. You can use the Ctrl key to select non-contiguous slides.
In PowerPoint, if you press the escape key during a slide show It will stop the slide show.

Unfortunatly you cannot go straight onto a slide while animations are taking place but if you press the arrow key that points to the right, the slide will skip through the animations (one by one) and onto the next slide. You can either set the presentation to move onto the next slide often by clicking, but, if i remember, you can set a timer to advance to the next slide.
To jump immediately to the last slide of a presentation, you can usually press the "End" key on your keyboard or go to the menu options and select "Go to Slide" and choose the last slide number. Another option is to use the shortcut key "Ctrl + End" to navigate directly to the last slide.
