In PowerPoint, if you press the escape key during a slide show It will stop the slide show.
The F5 key will start the slide show from the first slide.
If the slide show is set to advance automatically you may have success if you press the "left arrow" key. Best is to edit the slide show and remove automatic (timed) advance.

The F5 key will start a show. Shift - F5 will start the show from the current slide when you are working on one, which is handy for seeing how the new slide works, rather than having to go through the whole show to reach it.

slide show view shows you a preview of what your slide show will look like
a presentation in slide show form.
Slide show view means it starts from the beginning and shows you the entire slide show to the end. Slide view means it starts from the current slide you are working on and continues the slide show from there, if there are any after it.
To jump immediately to the last slide of a presentation, you can usually press the "End" key on your keyboard or go to the menu options and select "Go to Slide" and choose the last slide number. Another option is to use the shortcut key "Ctrl + End" to navigate directly to the last slide.
