Bob Hite can't sing tenor like Alan Wilson. Alan was absolutely the lead singer on "Going Up The Country" which for me is THE unofficial song for the Woodstock Festival of 1969. I can't hear a note of the song without immediately thinking Woodstcok. Alan Wilson unfortunately committed suicide in 1970. Bob Hite did sing most of the other Canned Heat tunes.
