Bleach. Pour simple household chlorine bleach on the moss. Give it a day or so and it will come right off with sweeping.
mix one part bleach with two parts water and spray on. carefull to avoid over spray on nearby plants

Sulphate is the ion in lawn sand that kills moss. Lawn sand may contain ammonium sulphate or iron sulphate. It works as a homemade or store-bought treatment since it just requires equal amounts of sand (kiln-dried block paving sand or silver) and sulphate.

Garden lime is made by roasting limestone which is one of the compounds of calcium. Iron sulphate is a different compound, largely used mixed with sand as a lawn moss killer. Although it kills moss it can be beneficial to other plants, especially conifers.
