Beatrix Potter is an amazing person she was rejected by six different publishing houses before she was finally published in 1903 by Frederick Warne & Co. Her first book was Peter Rabbit it was originally a letter to a friend named Noel Moore who was the son of her governess as a girl. Beatrix ended up writting 23 books in her life time, these books included rabbits, frogs, puddleducks, and cats ect... When beatrix was very young ( 7 years old ) she was incredibly ill with rheumatic fever
