They don't have a tail. The fire ant as one but... its more of a stinger
The poisonous toxins injected by its stinger on its tail.
Its the tail. The tail has 'electricity' to shock the prey. Thus, protecting it.
A scorpion's stinger is on the very end of its tail, so when it wants to sting something the front two pincers will grab it to hold it in place then the tail will come down and strike they prey/victim.
If you cut of your scorpions stinger it might die, but if you dont cut it to far down it will be fine. (If you cut it to far in the tail your scorpion will bleed to death) So be careful or go to a pet store and ask someone to do it for you.
