"1/2 tons used the 4L60E.
The 3/4 tons used the 4L80E"
The 1993 year models do not have the wiring harnesses or the computer required to operate an "E" series transmission. The "E" stands for electronic controls. The 1993 half ton automatics for the 1993 year model were still the 700R4.
That should be a 4L80E transmission.
You can use any kind of SAE certified automatic transmission fluid in your 1993 Nissan Pathfinder. You can check the automatic transmission fluid level with the transmission dipstick.
Automatic? Probably the 700R4. The 700R4 was replaced by the 4L60-E in 1993 in the 1500 series.
4L60-E

If it is a automatic transmission then it will be a 4L80E. Sorry but I don't remember what kind of stright stick transmission it had.
If it is an automatic then it will be the 4L80E in it. I'm not sure about the Manuel transmission type.
