You would have difficulty removing it from the pan without breaking it. If you don't have a spring form pan try using a Swiss roll or lamington tray and make the cheesecake as a slice. If you line the tray with baking paper it should be easy to remove without breaking.

It is not going to be big enough for the recipe and the jelly roll will be too thick. Also, a jelly roll is usually put on a towel and rolled up after it is baked. It is going to harder to get it out of the pan and on the towel without breaking. The do make a jelly roll pan, but it is just a cookie sheet, just a slightly different size. A regular cookie sheet with short sides works just fine.

Typically, a springform pan is used. But you will need to make it waterproof before baking otherwise your cheescake will end up soggy. Wrap aluminum foil round the outside of the pan, a little higher than the water level of the water bath you'll be baking in.

A springform pan is used for cheesecakes. A springform pan has a removable side (ring) around the side of the entire bottom of the pan. The reason for using these with cheesecakes is because they can't be 'turned out' from regular cake pans the way other cakes are, so they have to be baked in a pan which allows them to remain on the bottom of the pan. But the cheesecake has a graham crust in the bottom of the pan, so you don't have to worry about the filling leaking out since the crust prevents leakage. Although if there is leakage, your pan is most likely warped and needs to be replaced.
