Some Black Vultures look brown in the right light, especially if backlit. If it was soaring in the company of other dark birds, that's probably what it was. They tend to soar, then flap rather frantically, then soar for a few seconds and flap again.
The bird egg you are concerned about is a red breasted nutchtcher.Google it if you do not believe me.
House Sparrow is a bird found all over the bird. It is known to lay eggs that are green in color with brown or grey spots.
The emu's eggs are green.

Ive just found the same type of egg. They were on the floor in a park when i took my dog for a walk. I took them coz many dogs go to this park n i didnt kno wat they were going on the floor n didnt want them to get trampled on or eaten :| i wonder which bird it is
Yes, all species of bird lay eggs.
The actual contents of the eggs are not green; the green eggs are produced by Araucana hens and Ameraucana hens. Unlike white and brown eggs, the green pigment (color) goes all the way through to the inside of the shell. With brown eggs, when you crack them open, the brown color is only on the outside of the shell. With Araucana eggs, when you crack them open, the green is on the inside of the shell also. You can view green and blue eggs on my bio page.
It depends what bird it is. Some eggs are white, some are blue and some can be pale green.
What type of bird lays greens eggs w/ brown speckles? We are wondering if it a cowbird egg. We found the eggs smashed on the ground w/ embreyos.... wondering if the "host' bird discovered the difference in eggs and kicked them out ?! Thank you, Kris
