Well, if you want a pet bird that's small, doesn't bite so much, doesn't sing in the night, or stuff like that. Then, a parakeet is a great pet for you, but if you aren't a beginner bird owner then there's many kinds, but masters usually have parrets, but their expensive. Anyways parakeet are able to talk (i have 2 parakeets).

A bird aviary, if not look for a clean pet store. If your looking for a bird companion look for a bird that is hand fed and/or hand raised :) hope that helps
Take it to someone who would know such as a veterinarian or a pet store that deals with birds.
a humming bird
a dog or a cat
Yes, you can pet a bird, but it is important to do so safely and respectfully. Before attempting to pet a bird, make sure it is comfortable with human interaction. Approach the bird slowly and gently, allowing it to see and hear you. Use slow, gentle movements to pet the bird, avoiding sudden or rough gestures. Pay attention to the bird's body language and stop if it shows signs of discomfort or stress. Always wash your hands before and after handling a bird to prevent the spread of germs.
I wouldn't trust any local pet shop over an individual!
i guess it's ok, but it's disgusting and probably should be stopped...what happens if you get another bird?
Having a parrot is the best as it can say some words!
Yes, you can pet a bird on its back, but it is important to do so gently and carefully to avoid startling or harming the bird.
