Bosco's breed is a rottweiler, they're killer dogs. I have one, but she is part black lab.

The breed was found throughout northern France, rather than just in the Beauce region. The Beauceron and the long-haired sheep dog, the Briard, stem from similar ancestral stock, sharing the trait of double dewclaws on the hind legs-they are different!
Roscoe from Marmaduke is actually not a pure bred. Roscoe is a German Sherpherd / Rottewieler mix.
Bosco from the Marmaduke movie is a Great Dane. Great Danes are known for their large size and gentle temperament.
