They love kids, and p.s. they would make a good Gard dog- :)\another would be, a, St.Bernard. they can grow up to be a little more than 200 pounds or a little less. The girls around 130 and the males around 180-200 pounds. -we have on our self- and they make excellent pets if you train them the right way and don't let them do what ever they want. they are gential giants. love ,kids. loyal and loving dog.-also a Mastiff would make a good large pet dog. they are just like the other two.and those are the types of large dogs that would be good for pets. there is more but this is just a fue.
