An electrical fire (Class C) is signified by the letter C in a blue circle.

Or, you can turn off the electricity and use any extinguisher appropriate for the type of fire that was started by the electricity's heat.

You would use a Dry Chemical (ABC) one. These are typically red. Refer to the diamond with letters to make sure it is ABC.

If it is a Silver extinguisher, generally you should notuse these on electrical fires. These are commonly 'H20 Extinguishers' that spray water, and not foam. Only foam should be used to extinguish Electrical Fires.
