I know my parrot likes to eat chocolate but like it depends what parrot it is.

Not true: chocolate, onions, garlic, mushrooms (Any form of mold), caffeine, carbonated liquids, avocado's, alcohol, tobacco are all potential problems.

Parrots only try these things because we offer them and they trust us or see us (part of the flock...) eat them.

Parrots are frugivores so their nutrient is frugivorous and they feed upon fruits (some who are a pet in a home also eat chilli, bread too)
