The proper food for a Labrador of 5 months should be the following.
Breakfast: Hard dog food mixed with canned pumpkin.
Lunch: Hard dog food, same as breakfast but without pumpkin.
Snack: Cut-up apples with skins peeled off.
Dinner: Same dog food as lunck mixed with cooked meat (beef or chicken).
(Too much food may cause bloat.)
(When sick, add canned pumpkin to each main meal.)
Large breed puppy chow. Just make sure it's large breed because big dogs need the proper vitamins to make sure their bones grow right and can support them in later years.
The best is Blue. That is a very good product.
A 5-month-old Labrador puppy should be eating about 2 cups of food per day. This diet may be less or more depending on the dog's needs.

dog food
The bag of food typically tells you approximately how much food to feed a dog. Depending on the level of exercise they are getting, you adjust to be on the low end, high end, or somewhere in the middle. I feed my 6 month old Labrador 4 cups of Blue Buffalo a day, in addition to raw chicken and occasionally fish.
when it gets to the age of 1 or weighs the same as an adult dog
the dog eats what all dogs eat dog food
Well you should probaly give it about 3 cups of dog food only, a day.
