The only kind of lab that I think of that MIGHT not shed is a Labradoodle. This is a mix between a Labrador and a poodle. Poodle are hypoallergenic because they have hari instead of fur, so if a labradoodle has the poodle coat it might be hypoallergenic, but it would still shed.
Then I think you would have a chocolate lab.
He has blue fur. This was from a lab accident that involved a hamster wheel and a pair of sneakers. He orignally had regular brown fur.

You get the fur from a fence in Puerto Rico. Back at the lab, you run a DNA test, but it turns out to be ordinary coyote fur.
these colors usually only apply to labrador retrievers. if the puppy has all black fur, than he is a black lab, if he has all brown fur than he is a chocolate lab.
They have thick, soft, fur.

Not really, they tend to have the same color fur all around their body (other than the underbelly and they get older they get more white fur mainly around the facial area). However, color variations of this kind are not uncommon.
