Delegates wanted reforms from the Mexican government. This was to quell the belief that settlers in Texas want to secede from Mexico.
A whole new government.They wanted to protect peoples rights.They all agreed that's the government needed to be strong,But not to strong.
The Articles were not strong enough to support a strong country. They were too weak and did not give the national government enough power. So, the delegates decided to come up with a new form of central governenment.
