It sounds like Toots Thielemans, and probably is, considering Quincy Jones produced the song. But cannot find proof of this. But very few harmonica players can play those kinds of licks - definitely sounds like Toots.
think original movie track can be played with a C harmonica but the faith no more version is played on keyboard. not sure if is all in one key. In the sound track it was played Toots Thielemans on a Key of C chromatic harmonica. I believe it is in the Key of C but with a flat, but is transposed for other instruments in other keys. in the 12 hole Chromatic harmonica it starts with 5-,5-,-4,3 you should be able to go from there.

There are probably some local music stores around you and they almost always have any kind of music lessons you will know. Harmonica's are a fun instrument to play.
Instead of blowing into the harmonica suck air out of it.
Stevie Wonder plays a Hohner Chromatic Harmonica. He mostly plays the Super 64x chromatic which i recentally bought and it is amazing. The quality of sound of smoothness is incredible. I would recommend it to anyone playing the harmonica.
