Heat can be transfered by conduction or convection?

By both way. Conduction is the basic of heat transfer, the energy (heat) is transfer from molecule to molecule from different in temperature gradient. Concept of convection is when there is motion of molecule come to concern like wind blow and take away the heat rapidly. Convection heat transfer can only occur in fluid state e.g. liquid and gas. In solid, only conduction heat transfer taken place.

What is the convective heat transfer coefficinet for air at atmospheric condition and how it change with other factors?

The convective heat transfer of any fluid is dependent on its velocity, viscosity...and other properties. The higher the velocity the higher the coefficient. Generally indoor convective heat transfer of air is approximately 40 W/m2.K It varys depending on wind conditions, generally within the range of 10-100 W/m2.K

How does standing in a wind when you are sweating cool you down faster?

We sweat to remove body heat through the process of evaporation. Our sweat is mainly water and in order for it to evaporate it it requires latent heat energy to transform into water vapor(gas). This heat energy comes in the form of bodily heat that is available on the surface of our skin. A cooling effect is felt from this heat removal and it is intensified when wind is present. Wind is the flowing of air and as it moves past evaporating water at high rate it picks up the water vapor and speeds up the evaporation process. The intensified cool felt by wind is an increase in the rate of evaporation and transfer of latent heat energy (body heat).

Is wind used to produce heat?

Wind can be used to create electricity which in turn can be used to create heat.

How can you store wind energy?

Wind turbines only produce electricity when the wind is blowing. So they are unsuitable to be the ONLY kind of electricity generation. They can store electricity in batteries while the wind is blowing, and this will be available in times of calm. Scientists and inventors are working on other ways to store the power of the wind. One way is to use it to heat salt. The salt retains its heat for a long time, and this heat could be used to generate electricity when the wind is low. Another idea is to use wind power to pump water up from a low lying tank into a tank higher up. Then, when there is no wind, the water can be released and the pull of gravity on the water can turn turbines which generate electricity.

Heat transfer determines weather. The wind blows around to settle weather.

What 2 processes transport Earths energy surpluses poleward from the tropics?

Wind and water. Air currents (wind) carry heat poleward. This is mainly heat transfer by convection. Water currents carry heat poleward. This is heat transfer by convection and conduction.
