Typically, your common white egglayers are Mediterranean breeds.
However, Barred Hollands, a dual purpose breed, lay white eggs as well. There are other misc. breeds, such as Sultan, Polish, and Spitzhauben that lay white eggs.
b coz it depends on the the colour of hen if the hen is white it will give white eggs but if it is brown hen it will obviously give brown eggs
A chicken with white ear lobes will lay white eggs. A chicken with brown ear lobes will lay brown eggs. there is no othe rreason and no taste difference.
Mallards and Runners typically lay them, although there is always a (sometimes small percentage) that any duck will lay a certain color; it's just more common in some breeds.

It could be a number of birds (a picture would have been nice... or some description of the size... or something other than it's coloring..-__-) So I'll shoot in the dark here: Golden-bellied Fly Catcher Some type of Warbler Wren Or the American Gold Finch. Maybe I helped with your vague description of what MIGHT be a bird?
