Egyptians live in homes made of brick. These bricks are made of mud, cattle and camel feces, straw, reed, and sometimes the inside walls of the house are covered with clean sheets of papyrus. These homes can be built in the shape of teepees or rectangles with a circular roof. Egyptians put symbols or signs on their front door or on the ground where you enter their home. They also cover their door with camel feces for good luck and to ward off bad luck. Hanging dead rodents or fish on the outside of the door is another way they ward off bad luck. They also cover the floors inside their house with feces and leave emaciated rats in the corners.
Egyptians live in houses, or homes of sorts. What type of shelter they have would depend on what kind of money they make to pay for a shelter.
