Most reptiles are good pets. though if you are only beginning with reptiles, i would suggest a bearded dragon or blue tongue, and then expand.
I would highly recomend the leopard gecko dont make the same mistake i did by not keeping him warm enough although they are lazy in the day the are quite fun at knight feeding them crickets they will not eat the first few days and if you try to handle them they will most likely poo on you and drop his tail.
