Although many types of maps show these features, a physical map seems to be the best answer. A physical map shows the physical features of an area; mountains, lakes, rivers, coastlines, and so on. A topographic map also shows the physical features of an area. (i.e. - the shapes and locations of mountains, forests, rivers, lakes, cities, roads, bridges, and many other natural and man made features). However, the differentiating aspect of a topographic map is that it shows both horizontal and vertical representations of the terrain with a combination of contour lines, colors, symbols, labels, and other graphical representations.

TOPO MAPS: They can help get a feeling for the geography in a certaint area (Ex: Rocky, Flat, ETC,). It also shows roads, so it can function as both. ROAD MAPS: Exactly what the name states. It show roads that can provide help if lost or to check where you are.
A map term is kind of skill used on maps such as latitude and longitude.

It uses contour lines, which are lines that connect points of equal elevation, to represent the varying heights and slopes of the terrain. These maps provide a detailed depiction of the physical characteristics of the land, including mountains, valleys, and other features.
