There are steel helmets with fiberglass liners, and Kevlar ones. Steel helmets are made from sheet steel, fiberglass cloth and polyester resin. Kevlar helmets are made from Kevlar cloth and epoxy resin.
a sheet pf polyester applied to melted metal
Laminating kevlar is very much like laminating fiberglass, with a couple of differences. First, the resin is different. You can use polyester or vinylester resin for fiberglass; low-viscosity epoxies must be used for kevlar. And second, the way you wet it out is different--it requires a lot more force because kevlar is more tightly woven than fiberglass is.
There's no such thing as a good metal for body armor. Kevlar is best.
Carbon Fiber, yes.
Polyester multifilament yarn and the metal i dunno!
A bullet proof jacket is made from several thin layers of a material known as kevlar ( Kevlar is a registered trade mark). Kevlar is a para-aramid synthetic fibre. Some vests also allow for metal plates to be inserted. While kevlar is light-weight, inserted metal plates make the vest heavier. Though if the vest stops a bullet, I doubt the wearer would mind how heavy the vest was.
No.
Among the top tennis strings on the market, nylon or polyester string is most often used. Nylon is used in so called monofilament strings; multi-filament feature nylon combined with strings such as polyester, Kevlar, Vectran, etc.
polyester fibers.
The materials vary, but some of the better gaskets are composed of kevlar and metal.
