smooth muscle
Striated muscle is found in cardiac muscle and skeletal muscle, so this leaves non-striated muscle as smooth muscle. Smooth muscle can be found within the walls of blood vessels, GI tract, respiratory tract, bladder, uterus, iris of the eye, and maybe a few more places in the body.
The iris.
Smooth muscle tissue is located in the walls of hollow internal structures such as blood vessels, the stomach, intestines, and urinary bladder. Smooth muscle fibers are usually involuntary, and they are nonstriated. Smooth muscle tissue, like skeletal and cardiac muscle tissue, can undergo hypertrophy. In addition, certain smooth muscle fibres, such as those in the uterus, retain their capacity for division and can grow by hyperplasia.
iris and ciliary muscle
A really easy way to remember this is that smooth muscle is found in all hollow organs except the heart.

To enable adequate movement during mydriasis (dilation of the pupil) and miosis (pupil closing).
Muscles are specialized tissues evolved for movement. Smooth muscle is involved in involuntary movement found in the contraction of blood vessels, the digestive tract and the iris, and also the formation of goose bumps. Skeletal muscle is a type of striated muscle involved in voluntary movement and is the muscle we are most familiar with that allows us to move our bodies. Cardiac muscle is also a type of striated muscle, although some people use it to mean skeletal muscle only, and is involved in the contraction of the heart which is the pumping motion that moves the blood throughout the body.
found within the tunica media layer of large and small arteries and veins, the bladder, uterus, male and female reproductive tracts, gastrointestinal tract, respiratory tract, the ciliary muscle, and iris of the eye.
Smooth muscle tissue isn't divided into specific muscles like skeletal muscle tissue is, but these organs have smooth muscle in them: Stomach Small intestine Large intestine Iris (of the eye) Arrector pili (responsible for goosebumps) Ureters Bladder Parts of the esophagus Blood vessels Bronchi and bronchioles (the airways in the lungs) Uterus
The iris is made of connective tissue, smooth muscle fibers, and pigments that give the iris its color.
When your blood sugar is too high damage can be done to the blood vessels, including those in your eyes. When this happens new blood vessels may develop over the retina causing scar tissue to develop. This can result in a detached retina and cause blindness if not taken care of. If a blood vessel grows on the iris it can lead to glaucoma as well.
