Musical sound will be pleasant to hear. Noise is unwanted because it is non harmonious. But musical notes are harmonious and would be pleasant. Some kind of raga will make us to sleep and some other kind would give briskness. Some would soothen the mind and some other would express the sympathy, sorrow etc. So musical is the one which is always pleasant to hear even by animals and even by trees and plants.
