What kind of obstacles did the Mormons go through?

The Mormons faced many obstacles. They faced persecution. That was the biggest obstacle they had to face. They faced many illnesses. Many died because of this. They even faced the fact that the church almost became bankrupt. Because of this, there were many disputes that went on, which was also another obstacle. Because of many of these obstacles, many people fell away. Many of these people then said that Joseph Smith was a false prophet. This was another obstacle that they had to go through. Although there were many other obstacles, they survived through prayer; many of the Mormons trusted that God would deliver them through their hard times. Because of prayer and faith, they became stronger. Their testimonies were strengthened. Without obstacles, your testimony would not be tried and it will not grow stronger. The Mormons may have faced many obstacles, but to most of them, it was worth it.
