Jesus allowed any one and everone who wanted to follow him, to follow him.
Jesus allowed anyone and everyone to follow him. The ones he actually chose were tax collectors and fishermen. This is amazing because Jesus the LORD of heaven and earth chose some of the most lowly and hated people of this culture to be his disciples.
We can read about Jesus Christ and what kind of a man he is. In the Bible it tells stories of how he helped people all his life. We are suppose to follow his examples. Be kind, charitable, nice, to others.
Those truly humble and repentant of their sinful ways - the meek in spirit and called by the Father (John 6:44, 65).

Herod, a leader in the time of Jesus. he had ruled Palestine up to when he died. He was kind of a self centered leader who wanted everything for himself.
Priests, Romans, tax collectors
People that were not able to read and wanted to watch and learn!
Well, they definitely had bread and wine.
he didn't displine; knew what he was doing was wrong and jesus knew what he was doing. He wanted it to happen and he forgave him. there was no kind of displine.
Majorly catholic.
High priests of Israel didn't wanted to lose their power so they acted as if Jesus was some kind of fool trying to take over the country. They ran and tell the roman governor (that was the one really ruling this province at the time since the king was just there for show) and told him that Jesus was a threat. The people of Israel, though, was expecting a messiah. Some of them gathered in the city of Massada and created some kind of a cult. Those were the hardcore messiah a waiters. Others chose do follow St John Baptist who was, at the time, baptizing people in the river. When Jesus came, St J-B chose to follow him as the real messiah and so did all the outcast of Israel (poor people, cripples, prostitutes...) because he was and still is a source of hope for those who have to face a hard time. At this time christianity was just a branch of judaism and it was only a little bit later that judaism split in two : one part acknowledging Jesus as their lord and saviour and the other sticking to the old prophets.
