Green Pesticides are the most earth friendly, try these:
Ants -- Sprinkle some cinnamon around your problem areas to keep them away. Ants loathe cinnamon. If they're still sneaking in, mix equal parts borax and sugar. They'll be gone in a flash. Remember to keep this mixture away from household pets.
Earwigs -- Earwigs despise bay leaves. Sprinkle dried bay leaves around your home to help keep them away.
Houseflies -- Flypaper is never attractive, but if the flies are driving you crazy you can make your own flypaper by mixing together 1¼ cup maple syrup, 1 tablespoon sugar and 1 tablespoon brown sugar. Poke a hole in the top of a strip of cardboard to accommodate a string for hanging, soak the cardboard in the mixture overnight and hang the next day.
Mice -- Mice dislike mint! Soak cotton balls in mint, and leave in problem prone areas around your household. Ideally, if you can find the source of their entry, you can plug the hole with your mint-soaked cotton balls.
Cockroaches -- Mix together 1 pound borax, 60 ounces of powdered sugar, 1 ounce cocoa powder and 2 ounces salt. Spread around house, and repeat often. Cockroaches multiply fast!
Bees and Wasps - Mix together equal parts laundry detergent and water into a spray bottle and spray the nest. It's best to spray at night or late evening when they are all home, tucked in for bed. Use caution if you're spraying during the day -- you don't want an angry swarm of bees coming after you!
Mosquitoes -- Use plain household rubbing alcohol and rub on your skin. Use caution with children, and keep away from your face.
