For the TS Astra with hydraulic-electric Power Steering, it takes a Pentosin CHF fluid. A couple of equivalents I have come across include Castrol Hydraulic System Mineral Oil Plus, and Penrite LDAS fluid.
£800 at Vauxhall franchised garage!
were is the power steering fluid resovoir on vauxhall signum 53 diesel
no they do not
On newer corsas the power steering is all Electronic so it doesn't need power steering fluid.
You don't. The Power Steering is electric and does not use fluid.
Look in the manual.
Check that the alternator and the power steering don't work of the same belt.
01.02.2013. Vauxhall supply green and red fluid. Local dealership state no brand name on bottle from vauxhall, just 'power steering fluid'. They order it on a vauxhall part number. Green fluid is £15.84 per litre. If you having a service, they should top it up anyway.
can you tell me the location of the power steering fluid resovoir on a vauxhall vectre v6 3ltr cdti (2004 ), many thanks
The electrically operated fluid pump is attached to the steering rack unless its a 1.7 diesel which has a conventional pump attached to the alternator. if you look down into the engine bay the reservoir for the fluid sits too the rear of the g/box on the right hand side of the engine bay
what is the problem with my power steering on astra automatic
bit of a nightmare to get to, the reservoir is on top of the power steering pump which is located behind the bumper on the o/s/f corner
