You can play a lot with a Saxophone. Its well known for being used in jazz and blues. Its also used a lot in rock (usually from the 70's or 80's). It can also play in concert bands. It can play pretty much anything well, even classical. In the professional world, it is used pretty much everywhere except orchestras. I don't know why, but saxophones are never used in orchestras.
