The Pueblo Indians are named for the Spanish name for villiage becuase they live in small villiages. There is some variation between the 21 existing Pueblos but most are built with stone and cemented with adobe and plastered with adobe. Logs and branches are used to hold up the roof. Some build with adobe brick but that was not the oldest way. Some, such as Taos, are multi-story. they are all square or rectangluar. The Ancestoral Pueblo people also built round large kivas. Modern ones are square and below ground.
