If a person had a head ache, they would give them walnuts, and if they thought a person had kidney problems, they would give people kidney beans. They used alcohol to drunken a person who was about to be given surgery to reduce the pain, and people who were sick were often put in a very hot or cold bath. Doctors also used teas, juices, and powders for cures.
Bonus: Doctors had a very large interest in plants, and would often test with different plants to make cures.
