well, puppies can "do" a lot of things. like sleep, play with toys, eat, go to he bathroom. that is generaly what puppies do.
That would depend on the wealthiness of the child's parents, or if the find materials to make homemade toys.
one week oldAnswer:Most puppies won't pay a lot of attention to toys, or have the coordination to play with them, until they're about four weeks old.
Young puppies play rough, because this is how they would interact with their pack. Dogs is a pack on their own will bite, mouth, or snap as play, as reprimand, as affection, or to show who is dominate. Puppies play like this as practice for joining the pack. However, since your family is not a pack of dogs, it is something that has to be trained out of them. If you supply them with plenty of toys, and do not play roughly with them from early on, it should not be a difficult thing to overcome.

I would pick a squeak toy of some kind i have 2 dogs and 14 puppies the puppies usually fight over it.
Puppies should be given safe and appropriate chew toys to help with teething and prevent destructive chewing. Look for toys specifically designed for puppies, such as rubber or nylon toys, and avoid giving them items that could be easily swallowed or cause harm.
