Get your outside lights hooked up to a motion detector. The lights will come on only if it detects motion very close to your home. It is not very expensive to do.

Sort of. If wasps feel threatened they sting. The sting releases pheromones into the air, a chemical signal to other wasps that it is being attacked. If other wasps are in the area, or if you are near the nest, they may also attack you.
Hamsters not only come out at night to play on their wheel but probably when the lights are out and you are not in the room. Hamsters prefer the darkness because they are not nocturnal but they can see better at night.it is almost as if it was really dark and you had supper night vision goggles.
