well as we all know after the process of photosynthesis,the plants uses all the energy.namely photo=means sun light and synthesis=processing.when all the energy is collected and used for preparing the food of the plant the carbohydrates which is stored as starch and it is not used for any purpose.so thus i conclude that starch is the kind of waste the plant eliminates.
