"Harold and Maude" (1971). Stars Ruth Gordon and Bud Cort. The song is by Cat Stevens.
"If You Want To Sing Out, Sing Out" is a popular song by Cat Stevens. It first appeared in the 1971 film Harold and Maude.Stevens wrote all the songs in Harold and Maude in 1970-1971, during the time he was writing and recording his Tea for the Tillerman album. However, "If You Want to Sing Out, Sing Out" and two other songs from that period were not released as singles nor placed on any album at that time. No official soundtrack was released from the film at that time. The song was finally released later on Stevens' 1984 album, Footsteps in the Dark: Greatest Hits, Vol. 2 along with his other previously unreleased songs. In addition, it appeared on his 2003 album The Very Best of Cat Stevens.
Yes. I think that it's from the Harold and Maude movie soundtrack.
The song Cat's in the Cradle was written by Harry Chapin and his wife Sandy Chapin. Harry Chapin is also the performer of the song. Cat Stevens never recorded the song, although whether or not he may have covered the song live or otherwise is unclear.
The song is actually "AMEN OMEN" by Ben Harper...check out You tube, Liberty Mutual Video titled " Doing the right thing" yes this does sound like Cat Stevens... to me..... also
The album "Cat's Cradle" by Cat Stevens, released in 1970, features several notable tracks, including "Lady D'Arbanville," "Maybe You're Right," and "I Think I See the Light." The album showcases Stevens' signature folk-rock sound and introspective lyrics. Other songs include "If You Want to Sing Out, Sing Out" and "Time." Overall, it captures his unique style and thematic exploration of love and self-discovery.
The song Wild World was written, recorded and released by Cat Stevens in 1970. Probably the text was a message to Patti DArbanville, an actress he had been dating.
