The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is responsible for regulating the state boating laws in Iowa.
Iowa's most valuable natural resources are its soil and climate, which make farming and livestock raising important to Iowa's economy.

Corn and agriculture products are VERY important to Iowa.
I don't live in Iowa, but I have been there to visit family. A renewable one would be corn (for ethanol) and soy, and nonrenewable would be coal. But for nonrenewable resources not produced in Iowa, but used there, there's oil and natural gas.
The two ,most valuable natural resource of Iowa are the rich soil and the climate. These two resources allow for abundant harvest and plenty of livestock.
