There are many different types of dances. Ballet is a type of dance that can often be useful in other types of dances. Jazz is a type that includes dramatic movements and can incorporate improvisation. Tap uses the dancers feet to create a rhythm. Hip-hop is a more contemporary form of dance that evolved from the hip-hop culture and includes dance moves such as krumping. Improvisation is a main element in this style. Swing dances involves dancing with a partner and was very popular in the 20's. Country and Western dancing involves styles such as square dancing and is set to just that type of music. Belly dancing is a popular dance in countries such as India and involves rhythmic movements of the belly. Flamenco, Salsa, and Cha-Cha are all very spicy dances that originate from South American culture. There are several other styles of dances as well.
