3) I agree with both 1 & 2 above. Fuels implies of fossil origin and liquid, gas or solid form; the better term is energy. Solar power is electrical energy which is first light energy from the sun and becomes electrical energy when converted within a photovoltaic cell or bank(s) of such cells.
